Stroke Clinical Coding & Documentation Education Program for Clinical Coders in Australia and New Zealand

• The primary aim of this project is to develop, implement and evaluate an online education session aimed at improving clinical coding of stroke episodes admitted to hospitals.

• The second part of this project is to expand the program and provide an online education session for clinicians to improve stroke documentation.

Validation of the accuracy of clinical diagnosis in the Stroke Registry and ICD-10-AM administrative data with imaging reports

• The primary aim of this project is to evaluate the accuracy of (i) the clinical diagnosis and (ii) ICD-10-AM administrative data in the AuSCR, when compared to diagnoses from imaging reports.
